Due to the increasing demand on accommodation requirements at the growing Jandakot Airport, building started on the chalets in January 1990 and the facility was opened in May 1990.

The chalets were built in such a way as to preserve the majority of the natural bush land. This is self evident today, as the setting is a most tranquil and peaceful retreat. You really wouldn’t know you were on the grounds of an airport.
